The Gift That Keeps on Giving

Blimey oh Riley.

So I on Saturday and found a messege from the lovely Kat in Perth, Australia.
And it turns out she has Jar number 65.
She resided in Bristol for a while and found it. Then all these years later contacted me, to say it's made it all the way to Perth, Australia.
This particular jar was filled with Chillis, which have now turned black over time.

 Jar 65

But to think, this Jar first went out on 16th December 2013. This is mindblowing to me. 9 years later and it re appears.
This project was started on a whim in 2011 as an creative escape. Something to do and a way to explore the city I lived in.
I got such a rush putting a Jar out and then waiting to see if it was found. And now all these years later, I got the same thrill opening Kats messege. I think Australia is the furthest any Jar has ever made it. And I am so grateful to Kat for messeging me.
It means the world and I am so excited to share this with everyone who followed the project.

It's Been A While

Hello All,
So it's been a couple of millennia, How are you all?
A lot has happened, and it's too much to go into and way to boring.
But what isn't is that there is a new jar....or even 2.
I recently visited a spot from years ago and being there inspired me to make a few Jars.
I'm out of practice at this, but here they are.

Contents: Origami Stars
Released: 15-9-2018
General Location: Dunster Beach
Status: Found

I got away for a few days and realised how different is since the last time I was here. I couldn't remember when I last visited Dunster, but thanks to the Jars, I know it was September 2011. The date makes me bulk a little because of history and then remember so much.
I was in such a different plave then, as were we all I expect. But it was nice to return as a different human. More scars than before, but also more knowledge of who I am and who I want to be.

Jar 4 Reappearance

Jar 4 Reappearance

The Serendipity Jar

Once Upon A Jar, 4 Years ago.
Life and this Jar became serendipitous, and I don't get use that word enough.
Being one of the first Jars to go out, and the first Jar I put out with company.
It was planned for Stoke Gifford. But ended up in a hollowed out tree in Clifton, thanks to the original Jar hunter and my Jar Yogi Mark

A tree Jar in a hollowed out tree, as I said,
Serendipitous!

The Jar soon disappeared never to be heard from again, Or so I thought.

Now many years have passed, 4 to be exact. And this project has gone untended due to...well life.
So imagine my Surprise, Joy and Wonderment.
When a tweet ping goes off for @BadWolfJars
I haven't used that account in a year, what's going on...Jar 4 is what's going on.

It lives, it has new life and has turned up on the doorstep of non other than
20th Century Flicks
Bristol's legendary film library & tiny cinema, on the Christmas Steps.
Found on one of their shelves of exrentals. Could this story be any more Bristolian.

They've taken it in and given it a home, until it's time for it to go walkies again.
I am in awe, of not only them but whomever put it there.

Where has it been?
How did the writing last that long?
Has it changed hands before, or been in one place?
How did it come to get on there shelf?

All these questions buzzing round my head, and the best bit of all....
I don't know the answers, it's a mystery.
One I had long forgotten about and given up on.
I forgot how much this project effects, not only me but everyone else.
The people who found jars, the people who search.
The excitement of putting a Jar out in the middle of the night. Taking photos of them and being looked at funny. The drunks, eccentrics and dog walkers I met along the way, (one once singing to a Jar).
The absolute amazement of a Jar being found.
The kids, ohhh the kids who found the Jars and thought they were buried treasure, pirate booty or Doctor Who clues.
All this came flooding back and I was filled with happieness.
I cannot believe, after all this time, this little Jar, this little serendipitous jar.
Found it's way back into this story and maybe, off onto new adventures.

Thank You Whomever looked after it so well. Thank you for placing it in such a great place. Whoever you are, I owe you a great deal.
And Thank You 20th Century Flicks, for taking it in and giving it such a pretty and fitting home.
Go visit it if you can, send it a hug and love from me.

Happy Hunting Everyone

Valentine Jar

Valentine Jar

Wow I'm out of practice, it's been almost a year since the last Jar went out. I think i've forgotten how to do this.
A lot stuff happens in a year and I could write a whole blog, if not a series of them. On what has gone down Health and Life wise.

But lets not right now, Lets just celebrate the love of Art, Jam Jars, Sweets and Random Act of Kindness

It's not that Arty, but I wanted to share some love and filled a Jar with LoveHearts nom nom.
As always with LoveHearts, I had some great fun reading all notes. The slightly creepy
"Just Say No"
Is still in the mix alas.

Contents: LoveHearts
Released: 14-2-2015

Status: In Situ

Fingers Crossed I will get the chance to distribue these LoveHeart packs around as well at some point.

For now I hope you're having a good day, whether with loved once or not. Best part of this day for me, is sending Love out into the world for strangers :)

Happy Hunting!

Its Bristol South Bank Arts Trail Weekend   woohoo!
Where Bristol opens up and art turns up everywhere. Comunity halls do free art shows and classes. Art is crammed into every space possible and the streets become alive yet again.
I love Bristol for this.

I may be stuck in my bed at the moment, but if you smile, bribe and promise your soul. You can talk someone into popping a Jar into the city so you can contribute from afar.

I've never joined in before, but now there is a Jar out and about....possible across the road from this wondrous place.

The Tobacco Factory are joining in, and have plenty of things running all weekend.

The Photo in this Jar was taken on a Jar hunt years ago. It's sort of a flash back, I haven't seen in it in years and thought it would be a good tie in. It was taken while trying to find a 365 Jar. So two Jar projects in one.

Anyway, I hope you all have a good weekend Folks
Happy Arts Weekend &

So this one is going to be pretty easy to find.
There are good and bad points to placing a Jar at night.

The good is there is no-one about. The only people left are the partiers on there way home or the milkman.
Bad, is that's its dark.....
So it's harder to find a place to put a Jar if you don't know the area. I've wanted to put a Jar out here in a while but I didn't want to go wondering round the park in the dark. So the obvious place it is.

This Jar however did go out after after midnight, which makes its a Free Art Friday Jar.

 Happy Hunting !
