Jar Number 26 update

Jar Number 26 Update

I am back....well sort of. I have my hands on a computer for a few days so here is the proper blog for Jar 26, The Christmas Jar.

The Jar looked rather festive under my tree.

Jar Number 26

Jar Number 26

So this is just a quick post to say that a Christmas Jar has gone out.
After months of stress and trouble, I have finally moved into my new flat. I have been making lots of jars to help me relax but I haven't managed to put any out. The weather is so cold that my health just won't let me go out.
Saying that I got hold of some mistletoe this year and couldn't help make a jar with it. I went out today to try and get used to my new surrounding's and put it out.
Being Christmas Eve I thought it was a good time to try and start again. I only wish now it would snow tonight and then found by someone tomorrow.

Unfortunately though at the moment I'm without a computer, so I'm blogging from my phone at this moment in time.
I can't put photos up but I will as soon as I can.

But for now all I can say is that there is a Christmas jar out in Bradley Stoke, BS32.
If you follow the link there is a picture of it on the facebook group.

Update

Life has got the better of me

So here we are in what should be week 27. I guess this is the part where I confess the obvious, that Jar 26 is yet to go out, let alone number 27.

The Jars are here, waiting on the window sill, looking out onto the world waiting for there wild escape. But as expected with a life burdened with a chronic illness and a trend of not sleeping. I have finally fallen behind.
I hate to be down and say it was inevitable, but right now it feels like it.
The stress of the last few months have finally gotten to me. I said at the beginning of September, that I was going to take some time off from life. Then not long after I say that I go and find a flat to move into.
They say moving is one of the most stressful thing's you can do in life......well they weren't kidding. Throw in a lack of health and a lack of social ability and you get a bit of a mess.
I am finding it very hard to go out in this cold weather, I seize up and pain seeps through my coat. I am also very tired and finding a good Jar spot is not easy when your brain can't even remember how to get home.

I will not give in though, I will Carry On as they say. But I will try learn to accept my limits and move on.
This project has shown me a lesson I continue to refuse to learn. That I am not supper women and I can't do things on will alone. I have yet to accept this fully, but I'm sure life will keep reminding me until it sticks.
So the Jars will make it out soon, but until then I will continue making them and updating this on how it is going.

But for you hunters I have updated a few old Jars that are still out there to my knowledge. In my hope that they will be found.

I'm not doing that good this wee so this is short and sweet. I was trying to go for a weathered look. Like it had been out in the wild for years. It kinda works but it's not my best work. Fingeres crossed next weeks will be better.

Jar Number 24

Jar Number 24

I'm kinda proud that this one made It out into the world as this week was moving week. Not that I've actually moved in, just most of my stuff is now in the flat. In all my wisdom this now includes all my jar making stuff.......doh! So here is one I made earlier.

I was listening to the song Full of Grace while drawing this jar so I wrote the lyrics on the back.

Jar Number 23

Jar Number 23

This weeks jar was pretty straight forward, thank goodness. I am still snowed under with stress and it's only getting worse each week as we move closer to moving day. But anyway rambling...yes this week I was inspired by something I saw on the telly and so this jar was made.

This jar is beautiful if you put sunlight behind it. The light shines through and you get a sort of stained glass effect.
Now I'd like to dedicate this Jar to a friend of mine who has been having a horrid time of it. But even though the world is evil to her and gives her pain. She still manages to be one of the strongest, sweetest most wonderful people I know. She is always there for others and always manages to put a smile on my face. She has been a great supporter of these jars ever since I started, I only wish I could put one out for her to find.
So to Miss Tara, this jar is for you, cause you are beautiful in every way.

Jar Hunters might have to hurry to nab this one, i spotted someone with there eye on it

This week again has not been easy. I have been trying to hold onto this project for dear life but my mind has been failing me. It's very hard to be creative when under a huge amount of stress. The stress of the move is starting to do my head in. I don't break down that often.....maybe once a year. But in the last week I've lost count of the amount of times I've ended up collapsed on the floor in complete disarray and emotional exhaustion.
Whoever said moving was one of the 3 most stressful things you could do, really wasn't kidding.
Thank goodness for good friends, family and Origami. You can make something pretty, while relaxing and it takes all your concentration. So you can be thinking about forms, or van hiring or whether your tenancy agreement makes any sense.
Downton Abbey and ice cream are a great help too, though not for much longer.....I really wish the BBC would get a move on and bring Sherlock back.

So to summarise, moving and forms bad......Origami and Downton good.
And fingers crossed I can continue this project without having to stop at some point. I really hope that doesn't happen as I am really enjoying it when I can.

Jar Number 21

This jar has gone out a little late unfortunately, I've had a bad week health wise but got there in the end. I went a little further out of my area for this walk, thought i'd go explore a new part I don't visit much.
A little extra clue for this one as I loved this. If you find it you're in the right area

Jar Number 20

Jar Number 20

Week 20, wow. Okay so this weeks Jar has a section from one of my favourite poems in it. I carry your heart by ee cummings.

I carry your heart with me(I carry it in
my heart)I am never without it(anywhere
I go you go,my dear;and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)

  I fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)I want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

I carry your heart(I carry it in my heart)

Most people come across poetry in school or in a book. I on the other hand tend to pick up poems from TV shows and Movies. This one comes from a typical chick flick In Her ShoesThis particular movie features two beautiful poems. The above and a lovely one by Elisabeth Bishop called One Art which I urge you to also read.
I love emotive poetry and find it a great source of comfort to read other, better peoples takes on something I am also feeling.

A lot has happened, changed, this week. I am going to move soon and this week I found a flat to move into. All the stress, excitement and inevitable buyers remorse has done my head in a bit. But this project has given me something else to focus on and I am grateful. I can see that it is going to get harder to do this project in the next few weeks. With all the paperwork and moving I may lose focus a but. But I am determined to carry on. If only to explore my new surroundings while placing jars. It's going to be a great way of finding my barrings in a new place.

Jar Number 19

Jar Number 19

This Jar is a mix off a few projects put together. A few years ago for M.E Awareness week a friend started a wall hanging project in local libraries and sent out pieces for everyone to decorate. The contents of this jar is a replica of one of the pieces I sent in.

So out I went in the mad wind to place number 19. My hair brought a whole new meaning to the words wind swept and interesting. I even got knocked over in the wind while crouching down to take this photo.

I've had a bit of a rough week health wise, hence why this jar is so late going out. But the good part about this project is that it keeps me occupied even when sick. I have fun lying in bed making jars and thinking of all the places I could place them. All the nooks and crannies I have come across over the years :)

I saw these on my way back and just thought they were brilliant, I can't see how they are attached to the floor. So how do they stand up???
It's a mystery........

This Jar doesn't photograph to well, it's a lot cooler than this in real life.

This has to be my shortest Jar walk so far, it was so hot and bright today. I couldn't make it far so this one only just made it round the corner.  Still I like it's new home and it is pretty easy to spot for eager eyed hunters.
